WHAT??!! How can anyone demolish a gem such as this??? (Oh sure, "practicalities" Sure, whatever. Does every blessed thing have to have a utilitarian purpose? Can naught exist for the sake of being beautiful and simply being there???) What about the heritage and generations involved in said building? And what about the sacred land surround said church? The church-yard almost completely surrounds the structure from what I can see in the photo? How do they propose to get the demolition gear in place without desecrating the cemetary? Sigh. Sometimes "progress' sucks. <><

I am totally agast at the thought that they want to demolish St. Paul's. I live in England,(a former resident of Hampton) where they take pride in their old buildings. People from Hampton come to England to see old and quaint buildings but they want to pull down St. Paul's. Astounding!! C. Morrison
