The Simeon Shakespeare Company

Little Simeon has been waxing dramatic of late, staging several brilliant productions of some of Shakespeare's finer tragedies. Here is but a taste: yesterday afternoon he stole the show as the lead role in Macbeth:
"IS THIS A DAGGER I SEE BEFORE ME?!"

Following that well-received matinée performance, he played a gripping Mercutio (New York Times raves, "Such believable rage!") in Romeo & Juliet:
"A PLAGUE O' BOTH YOUR HOUSES!!"

Later that evening (he does keep a marvelously busy schedule) he fell to soliloquizing, with several stirringly ponderous excerpts from Hamlet:
"To be or not to be... that is the question..."

The press has pounced upon the productions of this prodigious performer, and news of his success is circling the globe. In unrelated news, early reports out of London, England, say that the world-renowned Royal Shakespeare Company of Stratford has decided to disband after 47 years of staging the greatest plays ever written. A spokesman for the RSC commented only briefly, cryptically citing "unapproachable competition from across the pond."

Hope it is not true of the RSC. I'd so hoped to see them one day. Just as I;d hoped to see the House of Lords, the Mother of All Parliaments and Merrie Old England herself in general before the so-called "New Labour" gutted them. Ah well...
Little Simeon seems to be taking after his dad as far as his acting and recitation chops go, eh? Big shock there. :)- Very sweet pictures. He looks scared in the first one. So very cute in them all. <><

Of course the son of Sean Carroll would be a lover of Shakespeare. It was only a matter of time before his gift was realized by the world.
Can I just say that I cried when I first saw the pictures of your little man?! I'm so happy for you two that I could bust! I miss you terribly, especially now because I want to see this precious boy! Email me sometime PLEASE!

Is this request time? Could we have a pic of Simeon in his cradle? And Ruth, can you stir a pot on the stove and rock the cradle at the same time like a Pioneer Mother? Well, why not a video of the whole thing?--(G)Auntie N.

Funny you should ask! I came home tonight and found Ruth in the kitchen, chopping vegetables for a salad and rocking the cradle with her foot! No video yet though - we'll see what we can do;)

I dreamed the other night that you had triplets, and I could only remember the name of one of them. (But I think that's because I had just watched Shrek the Halls the same night).

Btw, the pictures are adorable! Keep 'em coming!
